The Brief:

Smithfield is having trouble marketing their Power Bites sausage poppers to the gen-z and millennial groups. Come up with a campaign over the course of 72 hours that will garner a larger audience.

The :Process

I joined the minds of many young advertisers in the Robertson Rush, where we got randomly split into teams and assigned one of two clientele. I got the sausage party. We were only given 72 hours to come up with a campaign as well as executions to present to the client. In that amount of time my partners and I spent long hours grappling with what could possibly turn youngsters, like ourselves, into sausage popping freakazoids.

It’s getting… Sausy

We landed on the insight that younger people are often pushing their mealtimes back since they get so consumed with their work, homework, chores, but most importantly their passion projects. Lots of people my age often have side hustles, like streaming, graphic design, etsy shops, etc., so it became important for us to reach that demographic. What better way to do that than strategic ad placement and popular internet-persona ad reads? So sausy indeed.
